Tablet / iPad screens & batteries: Screens and batteries are special-order items. Contact us for a quote first. The quoted total must be paid before the part is ordered because prices vary significantly by iPad/tablet model. The quoted amount includes the ordered part, labor, and applicable service fees for that approved repair, so there is no additional charge for the quoted installation when we arrive unless you authorize additional work.

Laptop screens & batteries: These parts are ordered by model after a quote. The approved quoted total—including the part, labor, and applicable service fees—must be paid before we place the order. Policies

Clear pricing and repair terms

🚐 Mobile Service Fee — $20

A $20 fee applies for traveling to your location. If the repair is completed with Midnight Mobile Repair LLC, the $20 is credited toward the total repair price.

🔎 Diagnostic Fee — $39.99

If the cause of the problem is unknown and diagnostic testing is required, a $39.99 diagnostic fee applies. If you proceed with the repair, that fee is also credited toward the total repair price.

💵 If You Decline the Repair

If diagnostic service was performed and you decide not to repair after receiving the quote, the mobile-service fee and diagnostic fee remain due. When both apply, the total is $59.99.

🛡️ 30-Day Parts Warranty

Our 30-day parts warranty covers verified manufacturing defects, technical failures of installed parts, and faults caused by improper installation. It does not cover accidental damage, drops, impact, cracks, screen lines or black spots caused by panel damage, liquid or moisture exposure, pressure damage, misuse, or unauthorized repairs. Visible damage related to the claimed failure may void warranty coverage for the affected part. We will inspect the device and determine whether the reported issue is covered.

Customer inspection at handoff: The customer must inspect and test the repaired device with our technician present before accepting it. This includes checking the repaired function and visible physical condition. Damage occurring after handoff is not covered, and subsequent accidental damage will not be repaired free of charge. This inspection does not waive coverage for eligible technical defects discovered later during the warranty period.

🔧 Device Inspection & Repair Authorization

By submitting a device for diagnostic or repair service, the customer authorizes the necessary opening, disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of the device. High-risk opening procedures: Some devices have fragile screens, rear glass covers, or previously damaged components that may crack or break during opening, even when reasonable professional care is used. If our technician identifies a significant risk, the customer will be informed of the specific components at risk before work begins and may choose whether to proceed. If the customer expressly authorizes the procedure after receiving this warning, the customer accepts the disclosed risk of breakage inherent in that procedure; any resulting replacement of the affected component is not included free of charge in the original service. The warning and customer authorization should be documented. This acknowledgment applies only to the specific risk explained and accepted, and does not waive any rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.

🏠 Repairs That Need More Time

Repairs requiring additional time or workshop equipment will be discussed with the customer and performed only with prior authorization.

📦 Special-Order Parts

Original manufacturer parts and other special-order components require a custom quote and prepayment before the part is ordered.

Important Safety Notice

Technician safety is a condition of service. If at any time a technician reasonably feels that a home, property, parking area, or meeting location is unsafe, the technician may leave the location immediately without prior notice.

The customer will be contacted by message so the appointment can be rescheduled at a safer, mutually acceptable location. For the protection of our team, customers, and property, the mobile repair van is equipped with 360° exterior security surveillance around the vehicle. Video may be retained when necessary to document a safety incident or resolve a dispute, subject to applicable law.
